Suggest new society & club

This year we have several new club and society. Suggest a club that you wish the school would have it.
As for me, i would like the school to have a Photography Club, many schools have it ady.

As for me, I would recommend a Creative Media Art Society whereby students are exposed to the world of photography, videography, photo editing, video mixing, multimedia designing and web designing. It is an all-in-one media broadcasting group unlike editorial board which only focuses on managing the school magazine. When the teachers, web team or editorial board need photos they can get it from them Creative Media Art Society; when there's any events, the team is always ready to photograph and videograph. As a photographer in school, I find it quite annoying because when there's an event, you will spot a lot of photographers covering the event, each from varies societies and bodies. It is a more holistic solution to have all the media crew from one society then from many societies so that they can work together as a team and not as an individual.

Then they would be able to contribute to the developement of the school website as well as providing state-of-the-art info providers, quality videos and photos. I believe there are many students in our school who are very talented in this field, but just that there are never given a chance to break new grounds. With the introduction of Creative Media Art Society, the talents will be unified as one and thus producing better performances and services. Not just that, students who are interested in joining this field after graduating can get a first hand exposure in school which makes them stand out among other.

Furthermore, classes, workshops and seminars regarding creative media art should be conducted by the Creative Media Art Society so that the students knowledge will be expanded to the maximum.

If you agree with me, please voice it out too so that the school authorities will be aware of this issue.

Well. of couse i would agree. As the web developer of smktc.edu.my, i finds that there is not enough content to further develop the schools webpage. Furthermore, i need to find a sucessor which is quite difficult as i cant find someone who are exposed to web development and simply programming. Our school media are messed around Computer Club, Resource Centre and the Editorial Board which makes it less uniform.
I would fully agree to wensen91's idea to create a media club where forces could be joined together to provide better media coverage.

Like last time we suggested to join the Kids Witness News competition organised by Panasonic, the teacher's decision was not to enter the competition because we were not well-prepared. If there's a large media crew, then it is possible for our school to take part. Some will script write, some will videograph and some will direct with our own storyboard.

Other than that, our burdens will be lighten because the media crews will carry their assigned duties by taking turns. This is good so that we (SMKTC Web Team....) won't get tired to death.

In fact, little is known about the web team.
(If u ask any students about that)
Even myself isnt 100% clear about the web team.

I think wrestling is the one should be introduce in our school.

No violence pls. Teachers dislike it, students adore it

wrestling is not as violence as you think, i believe student of smktc will fully support.

Partially maybe. Remember the final decision lies on the hand of pengetua which i think is almost impossible.

wrestling is one of the olympic game. if our country wants more medals, they should introduce wrestling in every school.

I think a "BAR council" should be created...
This should be good news for those who want to be lawyers...
But dat's definitely not me...

well...olympic you can find this...but then this sports need lots of discipline...do you think we are capable? btw, if really want..i would love a swimming club as i love swimming...

what about tennis club

both swimming and tennis club are good...it's only the matter of time...maybe school will introduce them in the next 10 years...

They dont introduce them bcoz no one suggest this idea to the school / maybe they declined the ideas suggested. Boey you should introduce swimming club, i might consider to join it

well, if there is tennis club..hmm..i would also love it...
btw, my cousin, she was under-14 tennis champion in malaysia...

Actually, wrestling club is workable.If you think wrestling is violent, what about Wushu and taekwando? Wrestling is a type of self defence!

all can wrestle...but they need proper guide, that's y wrestling should be introduced...
